Chandrasekaran to succeed Ramadorai

Mr N. Chandrasekaran will take over as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tata Consultancy Services effective October 6. He was the Chief Operating Officer of TCS for the last two years. Mr Chandrasekaran takes over from Mr S. Ramadorai, who has been designated as the non-executive Vice-Chairman and Additional Director. N Chandrasekaran (or Chandra as he is well-known) has been at the helm of several key strategic transitions in TCS including expanding its business portfolio to include BPO, Infrastructure and Consulting Services. Under his leadership, TCS pioneered the creation of its unique Global Network Delivery Model (GNDM™) and ventured into new markets including Europe, China and Latin America.
