Chandrasekaran to succeed Ramadorai as TCS Chief

Mr. N. Chandrasekaran, currently Chief Operating Officer (COO), will take over as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services from October 6. He will replace the 64-year-old Mr S. Ramadorai who has been with TCS since 1971 and has been its Managing Director and CEO since 1996. Mr. N Chandrasekaran (or Chandra as he is well-known) is also a key member of the TCS corporate strategy group. Responsible for the formulation and execution of the company's global strategy, Chandra has been at helm of several key strategic transitions in TCS.
