SBI to enable banking with low-end handsets too

State Bank of India (SBI), which had launched its mobile banking service in partnership with Spanco Telesystems in 2008, is planning to adopt a technology that will enable customers to avail themselves of mobile banking facilities even from low-end mobile handsets. Currently, SBI customers can access this service only from specific high-end mobile handsets.rnSBI is taking this initiative to cater to the fast growing mobile phone subscriber base in the country.
