India has reached 979 MW of qrid-tied PV

On May 11th, 2012, India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) reported to the nation's par-liament that India has so far installed 979 MW of grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) and concentrating solar power (CSP) plants, 655 MW of which is located in the state of Gujarat, the ministry of new and renewable en-ergy (MNRE), government India, re-ported to the parliament on May 11, 2012.
