Smartphone location-based services:the next killer application

Visiting an exhibition with hundreds of stalls from many companies exhibiting their products and services and trying to find the stall can be quite frustrating, wearisome and even annoying. However, solution to this problem is being developed by many researchers. Cell phones are getting ever smarter today, savvy enough to tell the person where to go and what to buy in shopping centers or department stores. Although still in nascent stages, indoor positioning and navigation using mobile phones will be arriving soon.
