Novel basis function for the equivalent magnetic current in the method of moments solution of dielectric scattering problems

In the method of moments surface formulation of dielectric scattering problems, two sets of basis functions are required for the equivalent electric and magnetic surface current density. The authors present a novel simple basis function for the magnetic current which is approximately spatially orthogonal to the widely used basis function developed by Rao et al. (1982).
