Analysis and simulation of a mobile telecommunications system using overlaying macrocells

Hu and Rappaport (1993) have analysed a mobile telecommunications system having microcells overlaid by a macrocell. The authors suggest that the values for handover failure probability and forced termination probability derived by Hu and Rappaport were flawed, and provide analytical and simulation evidence to support substantially higher values.
