Expansion of non-dispersion-shifted fibre transmission distance by turn-off timing delayed NRZ modulation

A simple method for expanding transmission distance in high speed, non-return-to-zero (NRZ): non-dispersion-shifted fibre transmission systems is proposed. The turn-off timing delay of the optical modulator output increases the distance over which pulse compression is optimised.
