China Air Transport Set To Grow 10 Per Cent A Year

According to Randy Tinseth, Boeing Commercial Airplanes' vice president for marketing, domestic air travel will lead the growth, requiring 2,600 single-aisle new aircraft. Demand for larger aircraft to connect China with other major world destinations will be limited to 100 airplanes of 747-size and larger, Tinseth said. Airbus has banked its strategy for this market on the A380, which was first delivered to Singapore Airlines back in October 2007.
