GOOGLE SELECTS FIRST COHORT OF GLASS EXPLORERS

Google has chosen 8,000 people in the US to begin public tests of Google Glass - a connectivity product worn like spectacles that lets users capture and share what is in front of their eyes and stay in touch with their social networks even while they carry on with their daily activities. Designed to perform many of the same tasks as a smartphone, but under voice control, Glass is equipped with a tiny camera and a display screen that sits just above the normal field of vision, so the user has to make a conscious effort to look at it.
