Producing live jobs at Print '05 eliminates wasted paper

Paper certainly had a big presence at the Print '05 trade show, as printing equipment of all sizes continuously churned out sheets and rolls of paper for days. But how many miles of paper did exhibitors use at Print '05? Oce alone continuously printed seven book titles during the show, which added up to about 10 miles of paper a day—paper that attendees could walk away with in the form of a useful product. One of the books Oce produced was Frank Romano's Status of Printing in the United States 2005, which was personally signed by Romano at the Oce booth. "Many people came by the booth because they wanted to pick up a book with Frank's signature on it," says Duncan Newton, Oce's field marketing manager.
