32bit MCU with timing processor unit

The 68336, the latest 32bit microcontroller from Motorola's Advanced Microcontroller Division, is a new derivative of the 68300 family which incorporates advanced features for timing-intensive motion and engine control applications. The 68336 is a 32bit microcontroller for motion control applications, including engine and electric motor control. It integrates a Time Processor Unit (TPU), Configurable Timer Module and a Queued A/D Converter in a 0.65um CMOS process technology (figure 1). The combination of a memory-efficient 32bit CPU (CPU32) and intelligent on-chip peripherals enables the 68336 to execute at high-speed the complex calculations required for these applications.
