India firm outfits portable media player kit for Wi-Fi

Bangalore, India — Epigon Media Technologies Pvt. Ltd., based here, has readied a portable streaming media player platform and is in licensing talks with OEMs in China and Taiwan. The company expects to conclude at least half a dozen licensing deals for its Verus platform, with or without such add-on options as modules supporting the DMB, DVB-T and DVB- H mobile video network standards.
