CeBIT '99 Showed Off Trends For The Connected World

Like every year, CeBIT, which took place from March 18 to 24, was the show of shows. And like every previous year, the number of visitors increased. This year, attendance for the Hanover, Germany show hit the 700,000 mark. The number of exhibitors (from 60 countries) went up to 7341. This makes CeBIT far bigger than Comdex. And although it's usually a show for finished products—not for components—several chip manufacturers presented new products.
