Just as the Internet is changing the way businesses and consumers buy goods and services, it's also changing the way those goods and services are paid forgiving rise to electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP). The system replaces paper-based billing with an entirely electronic process in which e-mail notification replaces stamps, a Web site replaces printed statements and a credit card or bank draft replaces paper payments.
