The Doble asset health review allows a scoring of the generator population in terms of condition and presence of damage. Using evidence from tear-downs, and knowledge of past and future operating regimes, it should be possible to estimate life expectancy and opportunities to overload. It will also indicate damaged units and these need to be life managed.
