CLP India signs a 100.8 MW Wind Power Project with Suzlon

CLP India, one of the largest foreign private players in the Indian Power Sector, and Suzlon Energy Limited (SEL), world's fifth leading and India's largest wind turbine manufacturer, have signed a contract for over 100 MW of wind power project, which is expected to be commissioned by January 2013. The project comprises 48 units of Suzlon's latest S97-2.1 MW wind turbine featuring DFIG technology. The project is expected to generate more than 0.2 million CERs every year upon registration under the Clean Development Mechanism.
