Following on the heels of WWII, the 1950's were a booming time both for the country and the electrical construction industry. There were many new opportunities for electrical contractors, and NECA bolstered its organizational base and expanded member services to assist contractors in taking advantage of the booming economy.rnDespite the social turbulence of the '60s, a good economy, a flourishing construction industry, and the spreading application of electrical technology ensured a continuation of this relative prosperity. But, growing opportunities also meant increased competition. NECA had committed to a broad marketing program and was working hard to encourage members to think outside the box and take advantage of the new opportunities materializing around them.
