More Industry Trainers Earn Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Certification

IF, AS SAID, NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER of invention, electric vehicle manufacturers and owners can thank record-high gasoline prices and growing environ mental awareness for the surging interest in electric vehi cles. In turn, EV owners can count on professional instal lation of the charging equipment necessary to keep their vehicles running from the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP). Twenty-eight more electrical industry trainers have joined the ranks of EV supply equipment experts ready to take their knowledge of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) installation back to their communities. These professionals completed their EVSE training at the annual National Train ing Institute, co-sponsored by NECA and held at the Uni versity of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
