NECA formally honors member contractors that make safety and health-related work practices a core value within their companies and back up their commitment with results. NECA contractors that consistently maintain OSHA recordable injury and fatality rates at levels lower than the industry standard and implement internal company safety practices above and beyond basic compliance are eligible for recognition. The Zero Injury Award recognizes members that have worked a full calendar year without any recordable incidents. NECA Safety Excellence Award winners are selected based on a comparison of safety data for their companies with pertinent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics for similarly sized electrical contractors.
