Utilizing smartphones and the internet to manage everyday life has significantly increased and the next natural progression is connecting these technologies to the homes of the end user. This session will review what devices are on the market, protocols, installation techniques and programming requirements, integration with other smart devices and most importantly, how to profit by offering these services. The biggest cost centers for electrical contractors are materials, responsible for 40% of a job's costs. Removing inefficiencies from your office and materials purchasing process is imperative in saving on costs, scaling your business and increasing your profits. This session will discuss how analyzing materials data will lead to an increase in labor productivity and costs, important metrics to track, best practices when tracking and how to analyze materials data to make smarter decisions on future projects. The need to stay competitive within the industry during the post-pandemic environment is more crucial than ever. Utilizing construction technology can provide great value by streamlining construction office processes, increasing efficiencies in the estimating and bidding process and much more. This session will discuss essential tech solutions for electrical contractors and how to use COVID-19 end-stage context to make informed decisions around technology strategy and budget.
