Electric companies are working together with policymakers to facilitate the deployment of advanced transmission technologies that enable companies to upgrade equipment and to integrate new resources into the energy grid. Commercially ready transmission technologies also are improving how energy infrastructure fits into the environment, especially in existing rights-of-ways, while reducing siting costs and delays.
