Despite extensive scholarly consideration of educational administration and leadership, little attention (apart from the work of Marzano et al., 2005; Fink, 2010) has been given to the personal qualities that assist school heads to boost learning achievements and to increase their students' sense of well-being. Successful School Leadership - Linking with Learning and Achievement provides an important contribution to the understanding of this particular issue.
