While not the most glamorous of electronic components, the simple fuse acts as a 'safety valve' in many circuits, protecting sensitive electronic equipment from serious damage. The products highlighted here ― a surface-mount, thin-film chip fuse from Shurter and a series of glass and ceramic axial lead fuses from Littelfuse, Inc., represent two of the newest offerings in circuit protection.
