Digital Humidity Sensor Presented as World's Smallest

Sensirion's SHT21 is touted as the world's smallest digital humidity and temperature sensor. The SHT21 consists of a newly designed, sophisticated sensor chip encapsulated in a 3-mm × 3-mm × 1.1 -mm DFX 3-0 package. Over-molding provides protection against aging and ambient impact, such as condensation and harsh environments, and thus yields desirable long-term stability. The sensor is fully calibrated and provides an I2C digital interface. Analog output modes (such as PWM) are available on request. Its digital communication mode enables a low power consumption value in the range of 3 μW at normal operation.
