PowerGate LLC announced the release of its PowDec VHD300 Series of 300-W high-density/high-efficiency switching power supplies in a 3" x 5" x 1.34" open-frame package. This switcher consists of five models with main output voltages ranging from 12 V to 48 VDC and auxiliary outputs of 5 VSb at 1 A and 12 V fan at 1 A. All models feature remote on/off control; DC OK signal; universal AC input (90 V to 264 V AC); high dfficiency operation up to 89 percent; active power factor correction for EN61000-3-2 Class D compliance; full load operation up to 50°C with 20 cfm airflow (150 W convection cooled); and reliability in excess of 100k hours.
