Ore-forming Fluids and Conditions of Formation of Gold-Sulfide-Quartz Mineralization in the Shear Zone:Pogromnoe Deposit (Eastern Transbaikalian Region)

It is known that the continent—continent collision zones and associated "shear zones" are characterized by high fluid-magmatic activity. As usual, these zones are areas of concentration of large gold deposits [1—3, etc.]. In this work we make an attempt to show that the process of formation of the Pogromnoe gold deposit (Eastern Transbaikalian region) is very similar to the conditions of formation of gold deposits in "shear zones" and differs markedly from other known deposits in the region. The Aprelkovskii ore region, which includes the Pogromnoe gold deposit, is located in the en echelon fault zones within the Mongolian—Okhotsk collision suture in the junction zone of the Siberian and Mongolian—Chinese continents.
