By their classification features, phlogopite-olivine rocks of the Taukha terrane (Mokrushinskaya area) are most similar to lamproites, i.e., products of deep-rooted magmatism with a peculiar (hybrid) chemical composition. The practical and scientific interest in lamproites is determined by their diamond-bearing potential and information on the geological processes, composition, and physicochemical conditions at different (including deep) levels of the lithosphere. The first find of phlogopite-olivine rocks in the Taukha terrane that are characterized by unique, as compared with typical lamproites, features such as ultra-high Fe and Mn indices and high Pt, Au, and Pd concentrations determined the necessity for investigation of their geological settings, age, petrography, mineralogy, and genesis.
