South East Asia's only Lifeboat manufacturer, Vanguard Composite Engineering, has seen a sprout in performance in the Brazilian market after clinching a third deal with SBM Offshore. Vanguard will be supplying eight 8.5m lifeboats installed with 'Csafe' 8.5, Vanguard's latest series of lifeboat release and retrieval systems, which are compliant with IMO1392 regulations, to FPSOs Cidade de Marica (Alpha) and Cidade de Saquarema(Beta). The lifeboats will also be delivered with Vanguard's VL115 davit system. SBM Offshore is in charge of the construction of the two FPSOs destined for the Lula field in the pre-salt province offshore Brazil.
