EIGHTY YEARS OF DOMUS AND CASABELLA

Eighty years in eight hundred pages (weighing four kilos, four hundred and fifty-six grams). The merciless idea was to allocate ten pages (just over fifty-five grams) to each year in the life story of Casabetla, one of Italy's longest running architectural journals (Domus being thernother). The discriminating factor chosen by Chiara Baglione- architectural historian and currently the magazine's editor - to retrace the history of Casabetla is not, however, strictly annalistic. Rather, it is editorial succession that determines the stages in a journey leading from Guido Marangoni to Francesco Dal Co. An essay precedes each period in the magazine's life, followed by an anthology of pages shown as anastatic copies of the originals.
