Global Street Food, the project conceived by Mike Meire for Dornbracht and seen in Cologne last January, is dedicated to improvised kitchens in public spaces. These unique urban fast-food joints can be adapted to the pokiest of places in the most diverse corners of the globe. An interesting exhibition for designers in search of fresh inspiration and new stimuli, Meire explains it thus: "Just as we began with The Farm Project to provide a contrast to aesthetic minimalism in the kitchen, we want to inspire a design with these street sculptures which also provides a narrative."
