Grazie al materiale opaco utilizzato (policarbonato), le fasce fungono infatti da superficie riflettente nel lato interno rivolto verso l'alto e, al contempo, indirizzano la luce direttamente sul piano sottostante. Il gioco di luci e ombre viene sottolineato dalle varianti cromatiche proposte (bianco, rosso, acquamarina), attingendo a colori che definiscono con forza la forma plastico della lampada.%At first glance the profile of the Le Soleil hanging lamp appears to resemble the Guggenheim Museum in New York. The considerable volume of the diffuser (? 60 cm) is given movement by its constituent asymmetric strips that play a leading role in diffusing the light. Thanks to the opaque material used (polycarbonate), the strips act as a reflective surface on the inner side, facing upwards and at the same time direct the light down to the surface below. The effect of light and shade is highlighted by the chromatic variations on offer (white, red, acquamarine), which draw on colours that give strong definition to the sculptural form of the lamp.
