We consider urbanisation to be shaped by three different dynamics-the economic, the natural and the social-manipulated by systems of infrastructure in order to acceve a balanced overall development. The diagram shows that the overwhelming growth of the economic system over the past 30 years in Ccna has led to unbalanced consequences at the significant cost of shrinking social connections, as well as land and natural resources.%Si può dire che l'urbanizzazione sia modellata da tre diverse dinamiche-quella economica, quella naturale e quella sociale-manipolate da sistemi di infrastrutture per ottenere uno sviluppo complessivo equilibrato. Il diagramma mostra che la crescita straordinaria del sistema economico in Cina negli ultimi trent'anni è sfociata in uno squilibrio che ha comportato, oltre all'impatto sul territorio e sulle risorse naturali.
