The Italian artist Giuseppe Penone has designed his own exhibition at the Musée de Grenoble in France (22.11.2014-22.2.2015) under the curatorship of Guy Tosatto. The show combines old works and new creations, sculptures and murals, monumental pieces and intimate works. Five different sections feature as many themes: touch, skin, breathing, exploration, and a celebration of the beauty in nature. Wood, marble, bronze, plants, silk, leather and graphite are the artist's favourite materials, and he uses them here in a large number of sculptures as well as a specially created installation. All this is accompanied by a selection of largely unpublished drawings that illustrate the artwork's genesis.
