Prior to work starting on site (in 2016), Zurich practice Bosshard Vaquer who won the competition to restore Villa Maraini, have reworked the public spaces at the Swiss Institute in Rome (until 20.6.2014). A system of bookshelves holds a selection of contemporary works from the BSI Art Collection and part of the Institute's library, creating a dialogue between contemporary art and the historic spaces of the villa, reconfiguring them and altering their function.
