Manuel Aires Mateus's design for Grassi Pietre won the 2014 Best Communicator Award in the Design category at Marmomacc in Verona. The judges chose Living Stone "for the poetic reinterpretation of the theme of the patio and use of stone according to a non-repetitive model". Other awards went to Giorgio Canale for MB SpA (Innovation category) and Michalis Theofilou for Stone Group International of Greece (category In the World).
