Contemporary art produced in the Arab world and expressing its complex reality is the focus of an exhibition at the New Museum (until 28.9.2014) with 45 artists from 15 countries. "Here and Elsewhere" was inspired by the 1976 film lei et Ailleurs by French directors Godard, Gorin and Mieville and explores the role of artists in the face of historic events.
