BUDS

An icon from the Foscarini catalogue, created back in the 1990s by the Milanese designer, Buds is a lamp made from glass that was presented last April in three table versions and a new hanging version. Five different layers (crystal + colour + white + straw + crystal) are overlaid during the mouth-blowing process, giving the lamp a particular effect and creating a different colour when off and when on, producing a soft, warm light. In the table version, the shade in blown glass is combined with a support in solid transparent plastic that brings out the exquisiteness of the glass.
