The building forms a relation to the old constructions in the rural environs and the rows of apple trees marking the entire agricultural area of Val di Non. At the same time, it is meant to pose a limit to the expansion of the town. The main facade is a rhythmic composition of solids and voids created by pillars acting as extensions of the apple fields without altering their tone or texture. The weight-bearing structure and cladding are wood. The north and south sides are cladded vertically with larch planks, while the long fronts on the east and west are distinguished by the pillars. The underground level supports and wraps all around the building like a long monolithic ribbon in coloured, washed concrete. Its embrace includes the parking lot, playground and community centre.
