Furnishing a legend

Located in the former FIAT factory, the DoubleTree by Hilton Turin Lingotto has been created within a space that represents a piece of the city's history. The building, designed by Renzo Piano, has recently undergone a restyling by Michele Arcarese. Although significant, the transformations are aimed at achieving a contemporary feel while retaining the original architectural features: high ceilings, large windows and the legendary rooftop racetrack. The project has seen the addition of new furniture and alterations made to a number of stylistic elements, in a play of contrasts exalted by the use of warm and cool materials such as wood and bronzed metal. The predominant tones in all the spaces - cherry-coloured wood, brushed bronzed brass and an intense light blue - also adorn the restaurant area, fitted out with various solutions from Pedrali, including the Tweet chair (design Marc Sadler) and Jazz armchairs and stool (design Pedrali R&D).
