PREFACE: 'EVOLUTION EQUATIONS AND MATHEMATICAL MODELS IN THE APPLIED SCIENCES' (EEMMAS)

The International Conference Evolution Equations and Mathematical Models in the Applied Sciences (EEMMAS) took place in Taranto (Italy), in the Aula Magna of the Seconda Facolta di Scienze of the University of Bari "Aldo Moro", during the week June 29 - July 3, 2009. The conference was held in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics of the same university, and was organized by Silvia Romanelli, Anna Maria Candela, Marcello De Giosa, Rosa Maria Mininni and Alessandro Pugliese. It was attended by about 60 Mathematicians coming from universities of different countries, such as Algeria, Belgium, Colombia, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Romania, United States.
