Rural Women of India and the Global Economy

Meenakshi Dalai discusses how the trade liberalizing policies of India integrate women into the global economy through the employment opportunities in export-processing industries. Dalai examines gender relations in the rural economy and suggests some policy options which would be beneficial for rural women.
