Public Policy Limitations: the individual, the family and AIDS in Pakistan

Ahmed Afzal warns that if a widespread AIDS epidemic were to become a reality in Pakistan, the costs, at the filial and personal levels would be as much a result of Pakistan's socio-political and religious environment as they would be a reflection of institutional limitations and lack of foresight among the policy makers, medical specialists and social workers to evolve comprehensive strategies and public policy.
