By the end of March a group of mainly southern and some northern NGOs produced their first of a series of Social Watch reports. Social Watch is an NGO initiative to monitor the results of the Social Summit and the Women's Conference on a national and international level. The Social Watch report would not have been available so soon if it were not for e-mail and the Internet. Without these modern systems of communication, it would have taken at least three years to publish a report like this.
