Yes, this column has gone to the birds! To one particular type of bird, that is. At this time of year, when one says the word "turkey," most of us immediately think of Thanksgiving dinner (and all the joy and frustration that occasion might imply). A close second--again around November-- "turkey" might describe the center who just fumbled the football as he tried to hand it off to your favorite quarterback. But how much do we really know about turkeys (the poultry kind) anyway? As information science professionals, most of us probably know very little of their biological aspects, but . . . ah! . . . we do know where and how to find the legal aspects of all things turkey-related.
