Dilation-assisted transpapillary alligator forceps retrieval of a fully covered self-expanding metal stent with long-term migration

An 83-year-old patient suffered common bile duct (CBD) injury during cholecystectomy necessitating suturing and a T tube. The subsequent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) using a ther- apeutic duodenoscope (Fujinon ED-580XT, Düsseldorf, Germany) rev- ealed an edematous high-grade stricture in the middle-to-high CBD.
