摘要

The fundamental principles of this study is to analyse organic food industry as a whole particularly in Turkey. By focusing on the drivers of this industry, the study is trying to relate to the implications of macro environment concerning industry growth patterns. The study is looking forward to analyze the impact of the changes in PESTLE aspects provokes the changes on organic food business environment. Organic food industry used to be a niche market segment where one can only find it at particular food section or retailers. But in the late 1980s, organic food demand has grown tremendously. The PESTLE analysis is one of the frameworks that categorize environmental influences such as political, economic, social, and technological forces. Sometimes two additional factors, environmental and legal, will be added to make a PESTLE analysis, but these themes can easily be subsumed in the others. The analysis examines the impact of each of those factors and their interplay with each other on the business. The results can then be used to take advantage of opportunities and to make contingency plans for threats when preparing business and strategic plans.
