TOBEC is a rapid, safe and convenient method for the measurement of body composition. Cross-sectional measurement of body fat (BF) by TOBEC (BF-T) and by anthropometry including skinfold thickness1 (BF-S) was performed in 423 normal, healthy Caucasian infants, allowing comparison of these techniques with each other and with reference data on body fat2 (BR-R).BF-T was correlated with BF.S.
