PhospholipaseA2receptor1(PLA2R)mediatescollagen‐dependentmigration.ThemechanismsbywhichPLA2Rinteractswithcollagenremainunclear.WeproducedHEK293cellsexpressingfull‐lengthwild‐typePLA2RoratruncatedPLA2Rthatlacksfibronectin‐liketypeII(FNII)domainsorseveralregionsofC‐typelectin‐likedomain(CTLD).WeshowthattheCTLD1–2aswellastheFNIIdomainofPLA2Rareresponsibleforbindingtocollagenandforcollagen‐dependentmigration.Thus,multipleregionsanddomainsoftheextracellularportionofPLA2Rparticipateintheresponsestocollagen.ThesedatasuggestapotentiallynewmechanismforPLA2R‐mediatedbiologicalresponsebeyondthatofareceptorforsecretoryPLA2...
