A Study of Practice and Experience In Self-Organizing Team

摘要

Project management is an important factor in software companies to ensure project success. The agile methods have spread, reached and affected larger and larger fields. However, most participants still have little knowledge of flexibility adjusting to the changing requirements over traditional methods. The agile development method focuses on the incremental and iterative development process, and it’s a great efficient methodology to achieve high-quality software development process. Self-organizing is the major characteristic of an agile team which comprised based on the members’ ownership, responsibility, and actual situations. In this paper, we discuss the background of the agile software development teams, present the elements composition of self-organizing teams, analyze and summarize our experience in develop the practice evaluation system (ZZULI-PES) using agile development method, and discuss the factors refer to dealing with the relationship, responsibility, and success of team members.
